Tax Related Services

History of Tax Related Services (TRS)

M.S. Grindy Tax Service was started at this location in the early 1960's. It was operated by
various people until 1981, when George Crozier and Richard Mason acquired it and began operating
as McTax. During a transition in 1987 the name was changed to Tax Related Services. In 2008, Peter McIntyre purchased Tax Related Services and kept the previous professional team together. TRS maintains copies of all current clients for as long as they remain here. We have copies of current clients returns dating back to 1961.

The office has grown from the 2 car garage portion of a 1950's home to include the entire 3 bedroom home, enclosed porch and a large storage shed. We are open all year to provide complete services to our diversified clientele. We prepare all forms of individual, corporate, partnership, homeowner association, estate, trust and inheritance tax returns. We also provide ancillary services such as payroll services, bookkeeping, computer consultation, assistance with your own computer bookkeeping systems, audit representation, problem resolution including offers in compromise and any other services you may wish. If you need help outside our area of expertise we have a wide base of referrals for attorneys, financial planners, etc.

Our Fee Structure

Our fees are between those of major tax franchises and those of a CPA. Each return is different, so a price estimate over the telephone or by e-mail is quite difficult. If you would allow us to review last year's tax return we can give you the fee we would have charged to do that return. If you have more, or less, complexities this year we can evaluate the cost of those at that time. There would be no cost for this estimation. Our fees do include year round service and no additional cost for short standard questions during the year.
